FIRM HISTORY

Ford Engineers, Inc., established in 1994, is a civil engineering firm specializing in land development. The firm currently employs a staff of 13 professionals and offers expertise in the design and permitting of water and sewer systems, sewage pump stations, roadways, drainage, and stormwater management. Ford Engineers, Inc. routinely works with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies to secure necessary approvals. The firm has also provided engineering services for Developments of Regional Impact (DRI) and Applications for Development Approval (ADA), and serves as the Engineer of Record for multiple Community Development Districts (CDDs).

FIRM EXPERIENCE

The firm has been in continuous operation since 1994, providing professional engineering services to both private and public-sector clients. Its private-sector clientele includes some of the largest land development companies and builders in South Florida, with projects spanning commercial, residential, and affordable housing developments, as well as industrial ventures.

In the public sector, the firm has undertaken projects for various governmental agencies, including Miami-Dade County’s Public Works Department, Department of Transportation and Public Works (Highways), Water and Sewer Department, Port of Miami, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The firm employs three professional engineers who are licensed and registered in the State of Florida with over 100 years of combined experience in South Florida.

MANUEL J. ECHEZARRETA, P.E.

PRINCIPAL/PRESIDENT

Mr. Echezarreta P.E., President, possesses five decades of experience in all areas of site, civil, and environmental engineering across both the private and public sectors. He maintains strong professional relationships with various regulatory agencies and demonstrates proficiency in managing all phases of a project, from initial planning through to final completion. He is a licensed Professional Engineer with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Miami.

EDWIN F. IBARRA, P.E.

PRINCIPAL/VICE PRESIDENT

Mr. Ibarra P.E., Vice President, is a seasoned civil engineer with two decades of experience in land development and infrastructure design. His expertise spans the design and permitting of complex residential, commercial, industrial, and roadway projects, with a strong command of stormwater systems, utility networks, and regulatory compliance. Mr. Ibarra has led multi-agency coordination efforts and managed large-scale projects. He is a licensed Professional Engineer with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Florida International University.
